Nau mai haere mai ki tenei wharangi ipurangi o te iwi o Ngai Te Rangi. Welcome to the official website of Ngai Te Rangi. Our Iwi or Tribe is Tauranga Moana based with our principal localities including Tauranga, Mt Maunganui, Papamoa, Welcome Bay, Katikati, Bowentown, Rangiwaea, Matakana, Motiti and Tuhua(Mayor) Islands.
Ngaiterangi Iwi Incorporated Society
Ngaiterangi Iwi Incorporated Society was established in 1989 to assist in the development of social, education, health and economic aspirations of Ngai Te Rangi Iwi. The society is governed by Te Runanga o Ngai Te Rangi which is made up of one representative from each Marae of Ngai Te Rangi.
We are located in our new purpose-built office complex at Te Awa o Tukorako Place, off Taiaho Place (Whareroa Marae) in Mt Maunganui. Feel free to browse the menu on the left to find out who we are, where we come from, the services we offer and how we can help you! This website also acts as a means of communicating with Ngai Te Rangi descendants and members and letting our whanau, marae and hapu know about things happening at the Runanga and around Tauranga Moana so don't forget to regularly check out Panui pages.
