Public Health Services

“Taua a toto” is a national project which focuses on Community Action on Youth and Drugs (CAYAD) of which there is a site based at Ngâi Te Rangi Iwi Rűnanga.

CAYAD seek to address issues surrounding Youth and Drugs, through Both an electronic focus and wider Public Health approaches.

A combined Bay of Plenty DHB and Public Health Directorate of the Ministry of Health proposed this project in December 2003 and Ngâi Te Rangi Iwi was successful in winning this project.

A team of professionals was set-up to ensure the project’s success.
