“Taua a toto” is a national project which focuses on Community Action on Youth and Drugs (CAYAD) of which there is a site based at Ngaiterangi Iwi Runanga.
CAYAD seek to address issues surrounding Youth and Drugs, through Both an electronic focus and wider Public Health approaches.
A combined Bay of Plenty DHB and Public Health Directorate of the Ministry of Health proposed this project in December 2003 and Ngaiterangi Iwi was successful in winning this project.
A team of professionals was set-up to ensure the project’s success.
