This programme provides support services to whānau where it has been identified by Oranga Tamariki or the whānau themselves that there are personal and social behaviours and challenges within the whānau that are creating harm or risk of harm for our tamariki. We have registered social workers delivering this service, with the ability to engage additional iwi kaimahi to support whānau interventions relating to Ngāi Te Rangi tikanga and reo development. The role of our social workers is to work with the whānau members to identify problems and agree a plan to address those problems so that ultimately the tamariki can be safely raised within the whānau.
